Luxottica closed the second quarter and first half of this year with an increase in sales of slightly more as 15% (7% at constant exchange rates for the quarter and 9% for the half year). Sales totaled an amount of more as 3,6 billion euro. Both the “wholesale” and “retail” division contributed to the excellent results. Especially Sunglass Hut did very well. Geographically only Europe and the South of Europe in particular did perform less good. Germany and France however showed satisfying results. Net profit for the first half of the year totaled more as 326 million euro.
