As a fashion designer Stella McCartney is known for her own collections and for the work she did for adidas for example. She gave a license for the design, production and distribution of her sunglasses to Luxottica which added the collection, just like the ones of the other famous British designer, Paul Smith, to the more selective Oliver Peoples group. Recently the brand launched a first prescription line as well, presented as eco-friendly just like the sunglasses. In the Netherlands the sunglasses never made it but maybe the prescription frames will change that.
