Yesterday evening the traditional Dutch Esquire Best Dressed Man of the Netherlands Event took place at the brand new Andaz Hotel at Amsterdam, designed by Marcel Wanders. Lapo Elkann, the flamboyant heir of the Fiat company and owner of Italia Independent was guest of honor. During the evening he received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his role as style icon and inspiratory. Lapo herited his recognizable style from his famous grandfather Gianni Agnelli. His suits are tight and in all kind of colors, sleeves look often a little bit short. Style simply is never out of fashion!! Of course this Award is another great opportunity to put Italia Independent in the spotlights. Prescription frames and sunglasses of the stubborn brand conquer the world and become more and more popular in the Netherlands as well. The brand shows how to promote eyewear. No anonymous collection but a never ending range of innovations and active marketing and PR to make sure everybody starts to know the brand. Something you can and should use as a store as well.
