A few years ago most Dutch optician bought handmade glasses chains from South Africa. Thanks to this initiative of Dutch optician Bert Koopman a home for orphans has been built at Bethlehem, a little village in South Africa. This home now takes care of 80 children. To keep doing this the organization needs money. At the upcoming Centrop Sales Dutch opticians can adopt one of the children for as less as 100 euro a year. Of course two or more are allowed…Bert Koopman himself guarantees the money will be used properly and travels often to Bethlehem to ensure this. Good idea…maybe worth copying in other countries as well…
