Fashion house Balenciaga recently made a spectacular comeback guided by the creative direction of Nicolas Ghesquière. The brand developed into one of the most important trendsetters. Not that long ago the eyewear license changed from Safilo to Marcolin and just when the new collection was almost ready to be launched, Balenciaga surprised everybody by replacing Ghesquière for Alexander Wang. Of course Wang wanted to make a fresh start and all the new eyewear designs disappeared in the shredder.
