Turnover from sales of Armani eyewear used to be an important part of Safilo’s total sales. Not an easy job to compensate the loss of it. This week the Italian manufacturer published the figures of the third quarter and first nine months of this year. Sales increased to 249,1 million in the third quarter and to 862,4 million in the first nine months. Net profit in the first nine months decreased with more as 20% compared to the same period last year. Net debts decreased as well. Just like for example Luxottica, Safilo focusses on the strengthening of the position of its own brands. For both Carrera and Polaroid the company hired the best advertising agencies. We are already looking forward to see the results of all these efforts.
