Forbes magazine likes rankings. The magazine publishes yearly overviews of the richest people in the world, the most influential, the leading companies and amongst many others a list of the most innovative companies worldwide. In this recently published list of 2012 Essilor is ranked 28, Apple for example is on 26. The top ten is dominated by American companies and one Chinese, one Japanese company and one from India. ARM Holdings from Great Britain is the first European company at position number 10.
