Charmant and Christian Roth announced to finish their long lasting licence agreement by the end of this year. For the last twelve years the Christian Roth brand belonged to the Charmant portfolio where it always remained a bit of a stranger next to brands like Charmant itself, Esprit and Puma. Christian Roth and Eric Domège became famous with their label Optical Affairs. Over the years, beside their designs for their own collection, they worked for brands like Jean Paul Gaultier, Helmut Lang, Michael Kors and today they cooperate with Karl Lagerfeld on his eyewear collections. The Christian Roth frames and sunglasses are available in about 600 high end stores worldwide including Artsee in New York, 1111 Lincoln Road in South Beach, Fred Segal in Santa Monica, Podium in Moscow and Isetan and Estnation in Tokyo. Whether the Christian Roth brand will continue as an independent company or look for cooperation with a large company once again is yet unknown. In any case in 2011 both designers are in charge again. We will surely hear from them and Vision-Today keeps you updated.
