Yesterday we received the sad news of the passing away of the founder of the legendary brand Cazal, Cari Zalloni, earlier this week. With him, the optical industry lost a dynamic and great man as well as a creative person who often proved to be ahead of his time. Especially his designs from the eighties are still collector’s items. Not that long ago I had the privilege to talk to him quite long about his career and vision. The conversation, in which he showed himself lively and full of ideas for the future, has been filmed and recorded and is now an even more worthy document in our extended archive. We will miss his positivism, drive and optimism. RIP Cari Zalloni.
